Realizing that young people of today will be a major driving force behind changes in the future, Krungthai Bank contributes to ensuring their education by awarding “Krungthai Loves Education” scholarships to upper-secondary students in schools under the Krungthai Weaving Dream Schools: Good School near Home Project who are admitted to 7 leading public universities – Thammasat University, Chulalongkorn University, Mahidol University, Kasetsart University, Chiang Mai University, Khon Kaen University and Prince of Songkla University. The scholarships offered are for undergraduates in various fields, including medicine, nursing, engineering, science and arts.
Another basis of a happy life is personal money management skills. Krungthai Bank therefore runs financial literacy training for children aimed at raising their awareness of financial discipline, planning and saving. The training incorporates fun activities that teach children how to make, save, spend and invest money. At the same time, the training also fosters the virtues of integrity, perseverance, self-sacrifice and leading life with consciousness and intelligence, in order to lay the foundation for their healthy future.
The determination to provide further education and knowledge to children and young people is in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal Quality Education as it promotes access to all levels of education and enhances children’s capabilities to improve their quality of life sustainably.
