Krungthai Bank has become the first financial institution in Thailand to receive the international ISO 20400:2017 Sustainable Procurement - Guidance certification from the Management System Certification Institute (Thailand), or MASCI. This achievement reinforces the bank's commitment to conducting business under good corporate governance principles, with transparency and fairness to all stakeholders across all sectors, while also elevating its operations towards becoming a sustainable bank.

This certification is a testament to the bank's dedication to operating under good corporate governance principles. Krungthai Bank has passed MASCI's verification process in accordance with the ISO 20400:2017 Sustainable Procurement - Guidance standard. By implementing these standard criteria in its procurement processes, the bank ensures confidence in its sustainable procurement operations aligned with international standards. This standard helps organizations systematically manage and drive procurement policies and objectives, integrating sustainability into the organization's procurement policies, strategies, and processes. It assesses sustainable procurement across multiple dimensions, including responsibility, transparency, respect for human rights, and ethical behavior.

The procurement process is a key tool that helps promote balance in economic and social aspects while reducing environmental impacts. It also supports sustainable development throughout the supply chain. This aligns with Krungthai Bank's operations, which adhere to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals framework.
