Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited, Mumbai Branch - India's Deposit Accounts Being Moved to HDFC Bank

This notice is to announce that Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited is in the process of closing down its Mumbai branch in India and surrendering its banking license to the Reserve Bank of India.

To facilitate a seamless customer experience during this process, Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited, Mumbai branch has partnered with HDFC Bank, India.

Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited, Mumbai branch and its head-office in Bangkok, Thailand has reasonably made several attempts to contact customers between June 2021 to December 2021 for closure of their deposit accounts held with the Mumbai branch.

However, there were some customers who were not reachable. The bank hereby requests the customers to give express consent for transfer of accounts to HDFC Bank within 10 days from the publication of this notice and failure to give express consent within 10 days will be treated as deemed consent for the transfer of accounts to HDFC Bank.

Customers who held a Savings Bank account or Current account with Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited, Mumbai branch prior to 31st December, 2021 and have not withdrawn the outstanding balances from such accounts, are requested to contact HDFC Bank for assistance for withdrawal of their outstanding balances with effect from 15th December, 2022 at the branch of HDFC Bank as provided below:
