Krungthai Bank, in collaboration with the Bajrasudha Kajanurak Foundation under Royal Patronage of H.M. the King, is committed to addressing the complex issue of human-wild elephant coexistence in Ban Nong Krathing Village and Ban Khlong Mahat Village in Chachoengsao. Our joint efforts focus on promoting the cultivation of elephant-unfriendly unpalatable crops and beekeeping to prevent elephants from invading farmlands. Additionally, the practice of beekeeping for honey also generates supplementary income for the community, thereby fostering self-reliance and facilitating harmonious living alongside wild elephants.

Through these meaningful initiatives, we align our business operations with the United Nations’ sustainability framework and the Sustainable Development Goals, namely the goal of Life on Land, which aims to protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss, and the goal of Partnerships for the Goals, which aims to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
