Krungthai Bank, in partnership with the Utokapat Foundation under the Royal Patronage of H.M. the King and the Hydro-Informatics Institute (Public Organization), is addressing the issue of water scarcity during the dry season in Chiang Mai and Mae Hong Son by installing water pipes to transport water to agricultural areas and enhancing water reserve and distribution systems. Our approach also encompasses educating the local communities, empowering them to plan and manage water resources systematically and efficiently.
Through these concerted efforts, we align our business operations with the United Nations' sustainability framework and the Sustainable Development Goals, namely the goal of Responsible Consumption and Production, ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns, and the goal of Life on Land, which aims to protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss.
